Serabi Mining plc advises that it  has been notified on 23  September
2009 by  Barclays  PLC that  the  interest of  Barclays  Stockbrokers
Limited in the share  capital of the Company  has risen above  8.00%,
following a purchase of 585,682 shares in the Company on 21 September
2009.  Barclays  Stockbrokers Limited  has currently  an interest  in
11,616,700  ordinary   shares  in   the  capital   of  the   Company,
representing  8.29%  of  the  ordinary  shares  in  issue.   Barclays
Stockbrokers Limited holds only an indirect interest over the  voting
rights of these shares and the shares are held on behalf of a  number
of clients of Barclays Stockbrokers Limited.
