1st Dental Laboratories plc announces today that Grahame Sewell has been appointed Non-Executive Chairman (on an interim basis). Further, Nigel Spring, who has been Managing Director since joining the Company 18 months ago, is appointed CEO.

Andrew Garner, Executive Chairman, who was co-founder of the Company and led the Company to a listing on AIM in 2002, has decided after seven years that he wishes to develop his other business interests. He resigns as a Director with immediate effect. However, he will remain as a Consultant to the Company for a period of time.

Mac Ganderton, Executive Director, has also decided to resign as a Director from the Company and develop his other business interests.

Grahame Sewell stated:

'Andrew is very much the creator of 1st Dental and has led the Company's growth from start-up to an AIM listing and a Company with revenues of circa £10m. Mac joined the Board at the time of the acquisition of Benchmark in 2005. The Directors wish both Andrew and Mac every success with their new ventures and thank them for their long service to the Company.

The Company will now move forward with a new Board and management structure and I look forward to working with Nigel as CEO.'
