Settlement of Overdue Receivables - Pakistan
(London - 22 September 2009) International Power announces that the state owned Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) of Pakistan has made further payments to the independent power sector in settlement of their overdue receivables, prioritising oil-fired plants. As a result, International Power's share of the net overdue receivables at the Hub Power Company (HUBCO) and the Kot Addu Power Company (KAPCO) have been fully cleared. International Power's share of the net overdue receivables at Uch Power Company is US$17 million (£10.4 million). We expect the remaining overdue receivables at the indigenous gas-fired Uch station to be cleared shortly.
