                              Holding in Company                               

Brady plc (the "Company") was notified on 10 September 2009 that Sidlog
Limited, whose shares are held through HSBC Global Custody Nominees Limited,
sold 150,000 ordinary shares in the Company, at the price of 65 pence per
share.

Following the sale, Sidlog Limited continues to own 5,614,003 ordinary shares
representing 19.94% of the issued ordinary share capital of the Company.
