Contract Wins and

Commencement of Moorfields Eye Hospital trial

CustomVis (AIM: CUS), the leading developer, manufacturer and distributor of solid state laser systems for the refractive surgical industry is pleased to announce it has signed two new contracts.

The first contract is with a surgeon in Spain where regulatory approval for the Pulzar Z1 has now been granted. A letter of credit for the full payment was received by the Group on 10 September and installation is expected to take place in October. 

The second client, which was one of the Group's first customers to receive a free Pulzar Z1 laser to conduct trials, has been providing important surgical data over the past five years. A change of personnel at the clinic has allowed CustomVis to negotiate a new contract with the surgeon. 

CustomVis will be attending the 27th Congress of the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS) between 12-16 September where Paul van Saarloos, the CEO of CustomVis, will present two papers on the clinical results of the Pulzar Z1 laser. At least two other papers are expected to be presented by other surgeons on this topic. ESCRS is Europe's leading organisation for the industry with over 4,000 members from 90 different countries. The Pulzar Z1 laser will also be exhibited to potential customers over the five day event.

The laser trial at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London, which was delayed over the summer period due to staffing commitments, has now commenced and the Group expects to update shareholders with the results from the initial trials when it announces its annual results in early November.
