IMI PLC - ADDITIONAL LISTING

Application has been made to the UK Listing Authority and the London Stock Exchange for a block listing totaling 1,392,817 ordinary shares of 25p each fully paid to trade on the London Stock Exchange and to be admitted to the Official List upon issuance.  When issued, these shares will rank pari passu with the existing ordinary shares of the Company.

The block listing consists of 1,174,283 shares that may be issued pursuant to the IMI Sharesave Plan 2004 and 218,534 shares in relation to the IMI Employee Share Ownership Plan.
