Application for Block Listing

3 September 2009

Application has been made to the UK Listing Authority and to the London Stock Exchange for a block listing totalling 269,461 ordinary shares of 5p each in the Company. These shares will be allotted and issued in due course upon the exercise of options pursuant to the Microgen plc Share Option Plan 2006 and the Microgen plc Performance Share Plan 2006. These shares will rank equally with the existing issued ordinary shares of the Company. It is expected that Admission will become effective and that dealings in the New Ordinary Shares will commence on
7 September 2009.
