(UK) Limited has a notifiable interest in 2,303,255 ordinary shares, being
1.29% of the issued share capital of the Company (excluding treasury shares).
These shares are held on behalf of participants in the BlackRock investment
trust savings products. BlackRock Investment Management (UK) Limited has a
notifiable interest in these shares because, in certain circumstances and
subject to certain limitations agreed with the Takeover Panel to ensure
compliance with the Takeover Code, with effect from 14 March 2007 BlackRock is
entitled to exercise the voting rights attached to these shares if the relevant
plan participants do not do so.
