HEYWOOD WILLIAMS GROUP PLC
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Heywood Williams Group PLC ('the Company') announces that it received notice on 24 August 2009 from Investec Asset Management Ltd ('Investec') advising that following a disposal of shares Investec now has an indirect interest in 9,000,000 of the voting shares of the Company. As a result Investec's percentage holding has crossed the 11% threshold and represents 10.607% of the Company's issued ordinary share capital.
