Brady plc (the "Company") was notified on 20 August 2009 that Sidlog Limited,
whose shares are held through HSBC Global Custody Nominees Limited, sold
250,000 ordinary shares in the Company, at the price of 60 pence per share.

Following the sale, Sidlog Limited continues to own 5,764,003 ordinary shares
representing 20.47% of the issued ordinary share capital of the Company.
