Cobra Biomanufacturing Plc (AIM: CBF) the international provider of biopharmaceutical manufacturing services, today announces with immediate effect the appointment of Daniel Robert Chapchal as Non Executive Chairman, following an offer by Peter Fothergill to step down as Non Executive Chairman. This was duly accepted by the Board of Directors.

Danny Chapchal, aged 64 has a reputation for managing turnarounds and helping early stage companies bring new technology to market. His primary role at Cobra will be to develop strategic partnerships and explore financing arrangements for the business.

'Cobra is an organisation with an excellent reputation in the biopharmaceutical market that has experienced difficulties as a result of the global economic downturn. It has a strong customer base and has developed market leading intellectual property for the oral delivery of vaccines. My objective is to maximise shareholder value,' said Danny Chapchal.

Danny Chapchal is an investor alongside Lord Young of Graffham in digital valve developer Camcon Limited and security speciality TSSI Systems Limited. He is a Chief Executive and Deputy Chairman of Camcon and Executive Chairman of TSSI. He has also previously served as a Non Executive Director of Trace Plc.
