Announcement of Delisting:

Brit Insurance Holdings PLC (the 'Issuer'), the international general insurance and reinsurance group redeemed the Notes on 17 August 2009. The Notes will be subsequently cancelled.

The Issuer hereby wishes to announce that it has requested the Irish Stock Exchange to remove the Notes detailed above from the Main Market of the Irish Stock Exchange with immediate effect.
