EGM Requisition Update

Shareholders of Sovereign may now have received a letter from the Consortium dated 11 August 2009. Your Board will respond to this letter next week and continues to urge all shareholders to vote AGAINST the resolutions at the EGM to be held on 2 September 2009.

The Board urges Shareholders not to use the pre-populated proxy from that was sent by the Requisitioners and instead to use that which was previously provided with the notice of EGM by the Company
