FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Heywood Williams Group PLC (‘the Company”) announces that it received notice on 6 August 2009 from Investec Asset Management Ltd (“Investec”) advising that following a disposal of shares lnvestec now has an indirect interest in 11,000,000 of the voting shares of the Company. As a result Investec’s percentage holding has crossed the 13% threshold and represents 12.963% of the Company’s issued ordinary share capital.
