Conversion of Warrants

New India Investment Trust plc (the 'Company') has today applied for the listing of 644,685 Ordinary shares of 25p each ('Ordinary Shares'). The listing application has been made following the exercise of 644,685 Warrants to subscribe for Ordinary Shares at 100p per share ('Warrants') in the period to 31 July 2009. The Ordinary Shares will rank pari passu with the existing Ordinary Shares of the Company. Following the issue there will be 46,954,143 Ordinary Shares and 12,115,997 Warrants in issue.

It is expected that admission to the Official List and commencement of dealings in the Ordinary Shares on the London Stock Exchange will take place at 8.00 a.m. on 14 August 2009.
