Directors' Interests in the shares of BTG plc

The Company has made the following awards to Directors under the BTG Executive Share Option Plan 2009.

On 31 July 2009 the Company made the following grants of share options in BTG plc at 179.25p, the closing mid market
 price on that date:

Louise Makin     233,974
Rolf Soderstrom 145,048

The options will normally be capable of vesting three years after the date of grant, subject to continued employment and the 
satisfaction of performance conditions.

These awards have been made under the conditions as described in the Company's 2009 Annual Report & Accounts and the 
Circular accompanying the Notice of Meeting of the AGM. The BTG Executive Share Option Plan 2009 was approved at the Company's AGM on 15 July 2009.
