Notice of Extraordinary General Meeting ('EGM')

THURSDAY, 30 July 2009 -- Engel East Europe N.V. ('Engel' or 'the Company'), the AIM-listed Central and Eastern European property developer (EEE:L), today announces that it has posted to its shareholders notice of an EGM to be held on Monday, 17 August, 2009 at 10.00 a.m. (CET) at the Company's registered office, at 204 Rapenburgerstraat, 1011MN Amsterdam.  The EGM is being held in order to seek approval for the appointment of Mr. Micha Shkedi as a non executive Director of Engel.

Matters for disclosure under paragraph (g) of Schedule 2 of the AIM Rules with respect to the appointment of Mr Shkedi as a director of Engel are as follows:
