COLT Board and Committee changes

COLT, a leading provider of business communications, today announced changes to the composition of its Board. Sergio Giacoletto joins the Board as an independent non-executive Director and as a member of the Audit Committee. Dr Robert Hawley, who has been an independent non-executive Director since 1998 has retired. Vincenzo Damiani, who was appointed as an independent non-executive director of COLT in 2002, steps down as a member of the Audit Committee to become Chairman of the Remuneration Committee. Gene Gabbard, an independent non-executive director of COLT since 2005, becomes a member of the Remuneration Committee. All changes are with effect from 22 July 2009.

Until December 2008, Mr Giacoletto was Executive Vice President of Oracle Corporation, Europe, Middle East and Africa. Prior to joining Oracle in 1997, he was President, Value Added Services at AT&T and before that he spent 20 years with Digital Equipment Corporation in various senior management and executive roles. He is currently the Senior Independent Director of Logica Plc and a member of its Audit and Nominations Committees and a non-executive Director of CSR plc where he is also Chairman of the Remuneration Committee and a member of the Audit and Nomination Committees. He holds a Masters degree in Computer Science from the University of Turin.

There are no matters requiring disclosure in accordance with Listing Rule 9.6.13 in respect of Mr Giacoletto's appointment as a director of the Company.
