London, 8 July 2009 - The Company was notified on 8 July 2009, that on 6 July 2009 Stuart Morris, a Non-Executive Director of Mwana Africa PLC, purchased 150,000 ordinary shares at a price of 4.554p per share.

Following this transaction, Stuart Morris has a total beneficial interest in the Company of 300,000 shares.
