Announcement to London Stock Exchange

Holdings in Company

In accordance with the Disclosure and Transparency Rules ('DTR'), Solomon Gold plc (the 'Company') was informed on 29 June 2009 by Barclays PLC that, in fulfilment of its obligations under Rule 5 of the DTR, on 25 June 2009, Barclays PLC held (through Barclays Stockbrokers Ltd) 5,442,312 ordinary shares of 1 penny each in the capital of the Company, representing approximately 8.31 per cent of the Company's issued share capital.

In accordance with the Disclosure and Transparency Rules ('DTR'), Solomon Gold plc (the 'Company') was informed on 30 June 2009 by Barclays PLC that, in fulfilment of its obligations under Rule 5 of the DTR, on 26 June 2009, Barclays PLC held (through Barclays Stockbrokers Ltd) 6,000,588 ordinary shares of 1 penny each in the capital of the Company, representing approximately 9.17 per cent of the Company's issued share capital.
