UPDATE IN RELATION TO PLACING

Further to the announcements made by the Company on 10 and 11 June 2009, the Directors of Carlton (AIM: CLN) advise that they have received confirmation that the funds in relation to the placing of new ordinary shares in the Company to raise £400,000 are being held in trust and that the new ordinary shares will be allotted and issued to the placees (and application made to AIM for quotation of those shares) immediately upon receipt by the Company of those funds.

Shareholders will be updated in due course.
