Placing and Future Opportunities

Following the Company's Extraordinary General Meeting yesterday, the Board of Carlton is pleased to advise that firm commitments have been received for the placing of 142,857,143 new Ordinary Shares at 0.28 pence per share to certain high net worth individuals and professional investors, to raise £400,000. The funds are expected to be received by the close of business on 19 June 2009.

Furthermore, the Board wishes to advise that it has been assessing a large number of opportunities for the Company and is in final due diligence stages on the most prospective of these with a view to announcing a transaction in the near future.
