Notice of Appeal Filed

The Company has today been informed by its wholly-owned subsidiary, Raub Australian Gold Mining Sdn Bhd ('RAGM'), that its solicitors have been served with a copy of the Notice of Appeal dated 9th June 2009 by the solicitors for Wong Kin Hoong and two others ('the Applicants'), wherein the Applicants have sought to appeal against the decision of the High Court of Malaya at Kuala Lumpur handed down on 1st June 2009 in dismissing the Applicants' application for leave for judicial review. 

The Applicants' appeal is against the decision of the High Court of Malaya, wherein the High Court made a finding that there has been inordinate delay on the part of the Applicants in seeking leave to judicially review the decision of the Department of Environment to approve the Environmental Impact Assessment Report made on 13th January 1997.  The Company announced this earlier decision on 1st June 2009.

RAGM will continue to defend its interests and contest the Appeal.
