Statement re: acquisition of 15,273,875 shares representing 24.50 per cent of the issued share capital in Robotic Technology Systems plc ('the Company')

On 13 May 2009 the board of Robotic Technology Systems plc announced that the Company was in talks which might or might not lead to an offer for the entire issued share capital of the Company.

The Board of Industrial Acquisition Vehicle Ltd has today disclosed under the provisions of Rule 8.1 of the City Code on Takeovers and Mergers that it has acquired 15,273,875 ordinary shares of 1p each in the Company, representing 24.50 per cent of the issued share capital of the Company, from Automated Controls Ltd for an aggregate value of £730,000 representing a price of 4.7794 pence per share.  

Industrial Acquisition Vehicle Ltd is a holding company whose primary purposes are to invest in, acquire and develop small businesses within the industrial technology, engineering and manufacturing sectors.  The Board of Industrial Acquisition Vehicle Ltd wishes to clarify that it remains in discussions with the Board of the Company with regard to a possible offer for the entire issued share capital of the Company.  There is however no certainty that these talks will result in such an offer for the Company.  Any offer if made will be in cash.
