Vancouver, B.C. May 26, 2009 - Western Canadian Coal Corp (TSX: WTN, WTN.WT and WTN.DB and AIM: WTN) ('Company') announces the posting on the Company website (www.westerncanadiancoal.com/merger) the management information circular and 43-101 technical reports ('Acquisition Documents') related to the proposed acquisition of Cambrian Mining Plc (see May 20, 2009 press release). The Acquisition Documents will be posted on SEDAR (www.sedar.com). The notice of meeting and management information circular is in the process of being mailed to shareholders.
