Appointment of Interim Finance Director

Advanced Power Components Plc (AIM: APC), the UK specialist distributor and manufacturers' representative of electronic components, announces the appointment of David Brown as interim Finance Director, replacing Rod Muir, with effect from 22 May 2009. 

The Company is at an early stage in the process of recruiting a new permanent Finance Director and a further announcement will be made in due course.  In the mean time, David will assume all the responsibilities of the position.

David Brown, aged 57, has acted as Company Secretary for APC for the last year and has over 35 years' experience in finance, having spent the past 20 years in finance director and general manager roles with companies including Swiss Re (UK) and USAA Ltd. David is an FCCA, has an MBA from Manchester Business School and is a non executive director of the Sittingbourne Engineering Skills Centre.
