OAO Tatneft (the 'Company') made the following announcement:

Discovery of gas field in Kalmykia

OAO Kalmneftegaz, an equity investee of the Company in which it owns 50% shares, discovered a gas field in the northern part of Kalmykia, a region in the south of Russia. As a result, OAO Kalmneftegaz booked gas reserves in the amount of 35 bln cubic meters (C1+C2 categories) in accordance with Russian reserves booking standards.
