Board Changes

Guy Lafferty, 54, was appointed a non-executive director of the Company on 6 May 2009. He is Chairman of Höegh Capital Partners Limited, which advises companies which in aggregate own 12.8% of the Company's issued share capital.  Guy established Höegh Capital Partners Limited (formerly Lafferty & Partners Limited) in 1990 as a specialist corporate finance company.  He has advised Höegh Capital Partners on its oil, gas and other direct investments since 1990.

Guy is a senior corporate financier with a strong emphasis on the oil and gas sector. His background is as an investment banker, and he has 34 years investment experience and extensive knowledge of offshore tax structures, bank financing, equity fund raising and equity disposals. 

For the past 19 years as Managing Director and latterly Chairman to Höegh Capital Partners Ltd, Guy has advised on asset allocation, investment strategy and investment tactics on a daily basis. He has also served as director on the boards of other companies in which Höegh has invested. 

At the Company's forthcoming Annual General Meeting, John Thompson of Teck, will retire in accordance with the Company's articles of association relating to the retirement of directors in rotation, and will not stand for re-election.  

Commenting on the announcement, Andrew Woollett, ZincOx's chairman said: 'I am delighted to welcome Guy Lafferty to our board. His financing experience will be a great asset to us as we progress our recycling strategy in these challenging economic times. I would also like to thank John Thompson for his invaluable advice and support over the past three years and expect to continue our good relationship with Teck outside of the Board.'
