Athens Group: Appointment of Receivers

Mission Capital plc ('Mission Capital' or the 'Company') announces that its Board has been informed that Anglo Irish Bank is appointing Allsop LLP as Receivers of the freehold and leasehold properties owned by the wholly-owned subsidiaries of Athens Investments Holding Group Limited, in which Mission Capital has an interest of 20%.

Philip Goldenberg, Chairman of Mission Capital, said: 'This outcome is sad, but not unexpected. The Company wrote off this investment over a year ago, and has no ongoing liabilities or exposure in any way in relation to Athens.'
