CANDOVER INVESTMENTS PLC (the "Company")

Following its announcement on 6 April 2009, the Company confirms that it has
received indicative proposals covering a range of options for the business,
including but not limited to offers for the Company. In considering these
options, the Board is focusing on both reinforcing the Company's financial
position and maximising value for shareholders.

The Company's advisers have begun discussions with a number of interested
parties to clarify their indicative proposals in order to allow the Board to
consider and identify the most appropriate course of action.

The value to shareholders from any of the proposals remains highly uncertain
and is subject among other things to completion of due diligence. Candover
Investments plc emphasises that there can be no certainty as to the outcome of
these discussions.
