Board Changes

Helius, the UK-based biomass to power company, announces that Alex Worrall has today notified the Board of his resignation as Non-Executive Chairman to pursue other interests.

The Company has appointed headhunters to search for a new non-executive chairman.  

J Barclay Forrest, who is currently a Non-Executive Director, will assume the role of interim Non-Executive Chairman until a suitable replacement is found. 

Mr Worrall has been a member of Helius' management team since the Company's inception in 2005. Under his chairmanship, the Company has more than met all of the promises made at flotation on AIM two years ago.

Commenting on Mr Worrall's contribution to Helius, Mr Forrest said:

'Alex has been a driving force within Helius.  He has made an important contribution to the outstanding success of the Company and we wish him well for the future.'
