Appointment of administrators

Thomas Walker PLC ('Thomas Walker' or the 'Company') announced on 3 April 2009 that its Directors had concluded that the Company was unlikely to be able to raise the additional finance which the Board had been seeking in order to implement a restructuring plan, and that the Company was in discussions with its bankers as to the options which might still be available to the Group.

These discussions have been completed and, given the ongoing deterioration of the economic climate, the Directors believe that the Group is now no longer in a position to continue to trade as a going concern.  Mr Kim Rayment and Ms Joanne Wright of BDO Stoy Hayward LLP have accordingly been appointed today to act as administrator to the Company and to its UK subsidiaries.

The Company also announces that it has today been notified by Arden Partners plc of its resignation as nominated adviser and broker to the Company with immediate effect 

In the event that an alternative nominated adviser is not appointed on or before 7.00 a.m. on 23 May 2009 then, in accordance with Rule 1 of the AIM Rules for Companies, the admission of the Company's ordinary shares to trading on AIM will be cancelled.
