Transaction in Own Shares

As part of the Group's stated objective to enhance shareholder value, the Company advises that it has today purchased in the market through Charles Stanley Securities 945,357 ordinary shares in the Company at a price of 68.5 pence per share. This represents approximately 3.87 per cent. of the issued share capital of the Company (excluding shares held in treasury). These shares will be held in treasury.

Following these transactions, the Company has 23,456,072 ordinary shares in issue (excluding 945,357 ordinary shares in the Company held in Treasury)

These purchases conclude the Company's current buy back programme.
