Reregistration and Capital Return

Promethean plc (the 'Company') announces that the re-registration of the Company under the Isle of Man Companies Act 2006 pursuant to the relevant resolution passed at the Company's EGM on 1 April 2009 was completed today. The record date for the capital return of 29.88 pence per share in connection with the re-registration (the 'Capital Return') is today, 3 April 2009, being the date on which the re-registration is effective. The ex-dividend date for the Capital Return is 6 April 2009 and the payment will be made by 14 April 2009.
