Announcement of Dividend

Promethean plc (the 'Company') today announces the declaration of a special dividend of 17.939 pence per share (the 'Dividend'). The Dividend will be payable to shareholders on the Company's shareholder register as at the 14 April 2009 and will be paid on 30 April 2009. The ex-dividend date will be 8 April 2009.
