Contract extension withLucite International
InterBulk, a leading provider of intermodal logistics solutions for the
movement of liquid and dry bulk materials, is pleased to announce that it has
signed an extension on its contract for logistics services with Lucite
International to 2011. The extended contract has an approximate value of £
7million per annum. This is one of InterBulk's largest contracts for intermodal
transportation of chemical liquids in tankcontainers.
The original contract was won on May 1, 2003 when InterBulk was appointed to be
the provider of all international tankcontainer business from Lucite
International's UK Cassel works plant. Lucite International is the global
leader in the design, development and manufacture of acrylic based products and
the driving force behind two of the world's best known material brands Lucite®
and Perspex® from Lucite®.
This contract extension is an acknowledgement of the steady growth of demand
for tailored logistics in this high growth potential business. InterBulk has
extensive experience in this sector and has a successful track record in
creating value through innovative logistics solutions. The service will
continue to be delivered through InterBulk's own comprehensive European network
with operations close to Lucite International's manufacturing plant and
customers.
