Appointment of non-executive director

Yule Catto & Co plc ('Yule Catto' or 'the Group') is pleased to announce the appointment of Graham Menzies as a non-executive director with effect from 1 March 2009.

Mr Menzies, 61, was, from 2000 until retirement in 2008, Chief Executive of Senior plc and  prior to that was with Adwest Automotive plc for over 14 years, latterly as Chief Executive. He has wide experience as a non-executive director having previously served on the boards of St Ives plc and UK Coal PLC and is currently on the board of Heywood Williams Group PLC. 

Commenting on the appointment, Peter Wood, Chairman, said:

'We are delighted to welcome Graham Menzies to the Yule Catto Board. He brings extensive international manufacturing experience and we look forward to his contribution to the Group.'

In relation to this appointment Yule Catto confirms that there are no further details to be notified under Listing Rule 9.6.13.
