Interbulk Group plc (the "Company") received notification that David Rolph,
Non-executive chairman of the Company, acquired 248,158 ordinary shares in the
Company on 18 February 2009 at a price of 2p per share. As a result of this
purchase, Mr Rolph has an interest in 405,491 ordinary shares in the Company
representing approximately 0.13 per cent. of the Company's total voting rights.
