Approval of Banking License in Zambia

ICB Financial Group Holdings AG is pleased to announce that it has received
approval of a license from the Bank of Zambia to establish a bank to be known
as International Commercial Bank Zambia Limited ("ICB Zambia") in Zambia.

The establishment of ICB Zambia will further strengthen and deepen the Group's
presence in Africa where it already operates in nine countries. ICB Zambia is
targeted to commence operations in June 2009.
