Refinancing of Kings Heath
Real Estate Investors plc (AIM: RLE), the West Midlands based property company,
is pleased to announce that it has raised £2.68 million in loan financing,
secured against its Kings Heath property which was acquired in November 2008.
The financing has been arranged with Svenska Handelsbanken AB ("Handelsbanken")
at a margin of 1.75 per cent. over 3 month LIBOR. Handelsbanken is one of the
largest banking operations in the Nordic region and has been active in the UK
market since 2000.
Paul Bassi, Chief Executive, commented:
"We are pleased to have secured this financing, at an attractive rate, in these
difficult economic conditions. This finance provides REI with additional cash
in order to continue to pursue its strategy of capitalising on commercial
property opportunities that arise."
