Board Meeting

This is to inform you that a meeting of the Board of Directors of MCB Bank Ltd will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on February 10, 2009 at 09:30 a.m. (Malaysian Time) at Malayan Banking Berhad, 50th Floor, Menara Maybank, 100 Jalan Tun Perak 50050 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to consider Annual Accounts for the year ended December 31, 2008.

The Bank has declared the 'Closed Period' from February 3 to 10, 2009 as required under Clause (xxvi) of the Code of Corporate Governance contained in the Listing Regulation No. 37 of the Domestic Exchange. Accordingly, no Director, CEO or Executive shall, directly / indirectly, deal in the shares of MCB Bank Ltd in any manner during the Closed Period.
