DIRECTORS' SHARE ISSUE

At the Sunrise Diamonds Board Meeting held on Friday 30 January 2009, in accordance with an agreement with the Company, the Board issued new shares in lieu of Directors' fees (net of PAYE & N.I.) to Patrick Cheetham, Francis Johnstone and Neil Herbert representing payment for the six month period 1 July to 31 December 2008. The issue price was the closing mid-market price on the day prior to the date of allotment i.e. 0.475p.

Application has been made for 1,835,114 new ordinary shares to be admitted to trading on AIM and it is expected that such admission will become effective at 8am on Friday 6 February 2009. The total number of shares in issue will then be 186,229,787.
