AMZ to explore strategic options

The Company is pleased to announce that it has appointed Merrill Lynch & Co. to assist the Company in identifying and evaluating its strategic options with regard to its landholdings in Taiwan. This follows the passing of legislation to enable gaming on the offshore islands of Taiwan, a significant milestone for the Company given its resort-approved landholding on the island of Penghu. Penghu has announced that it will support the development of gaming resorts and is actively seeking to attract the interest of major international gaming operators. 

Investors should note that the Company is managed and controlled outside the UK, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man and, in consequence, the Takeover Panel has confirmed that the Company is not subject to The City Code on Takeovers and Mergers.
