Appointment of Managing Director

Herencia Resources Plc (AIM: HER), the exploration and development company with a primary focus on developing resource projects in South America, is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Bohm as Managing Director.

Michael has been an Executive Director of Herencia since June 2006 and has been responsible for overseeing all day-to-day activities of the Company.  This included the advancement of the Paguanta Project in Chile from an untested exploration target in 2006, through three successful drill programs, to the announcement of a Mineral Resource Estimate and the recent completion of a Project Scoping Study. 

Michael, a Mining Engineer and graduate of the Western Australian School of Mines in Kalgoorlie, has extensive experience in corporate and operations management, project evaluation and mine development in Australia, Chile, Northern Europe, China, Indonesia, Canada and Southern Africa. Michael has over 25 year's minerals industry experience predominantly in the gold, nickel, zinc and diamond sectors, including both open pit and underground mining environments.   He has been directly involved with five project start-ups, making him well suited to the task of advancing the Paguanta Project toward development.

Michael previously served as a director of several listed companies including Sally Malay Mining Limited (ASX: SMY) and Ashton Mining (TSE: ACA).  In addition he was also a member of venture management committees with Argyle Diamond Mines and Xstrata Zinc.
