Interbulk Group plc ("Interbulk" or the "Company") received notification on 16
December 2008 that on the same date Bill Thomson, a director of the Company,
bought 445,000 ordinary shares at a price of 2.25p per share, to bring his
total holding to 4,450,398 shares, representing approximately 1.47 per cent. of
the Company's total voting rights.
