Further Update on Financing

Waterford Wedgwood plc (the 'Group' or the 'Company') is pleased to announce that the Group's senior lenders have agreed to a further extension of the forbearance referred to in the December 1, 2008 announcement for the period through December 19, 2008. Ongoing discussions with an interested institutional investor and the Group's senior lenders continue to be advanced and a further announcement will be made as and when appropriate.
