Equest Balkan Properties Plc ('the Company'), announces that it has been informed today that Deutsche Bank AG and its subsidiary companies had a notifiable interest in 6,719,652 ordinary shares as at 10 December 2008, representing 4.80% of the issued share capital of the Company being 140,000,000 ordinary shares.

These shares are held as follows:

Deutsche Investment Management Americas Inc. 2,455,682 shares

DWS Investment S.A., Luxembourg 100,000 shares

RREEF Limited 1,929,052 shares
