New orders for Motive Unit Brown Eyed Boy

First British TV comedy series to be shot on mobile phones

Motive Television's comedy production company Brown Eyed Boy has received orders worth more than £1.2m for three comedy series.

BBC 3 has commissioned a second series of Dan Clark's smash hit sitcom, HOW NOT TO LIVE YOUR LIFE.  The first series, produced and directed by Gary Reich and Dan Clark, consistently won its digital slot. The second series will also be written by, and will star, Dan Clark. The DVD of series 1 will be released shortly in the shops by 2Entertain.

Dan Clark has recently been nominated for a 'Best Newcomer' Award at The British Comedy Awards 2008.

MTV1 has commissioned GET RICH, featuring star white rapper 'Example' and established rapper/comedian Doc Brown. This will be the first television comedy series for a UK broadcaster to be recorded entirely using Nokia N96 mobile phones.

MTV2 has commissioned a series of short films entitled ELEANOR, starring The Mighty Boosh's Rich Fulcher.

Commenting on the news, Mick Pilsworth, Motive Chairman, said:

'It is very pleasing to see Gary Reich and Brown Eyed Boy not only receiving second series orders but also breaking barriers with the use of mobile phones to create TV content'

Motive Television PLC has a 49.9% interest in Brown Eyed Boy.
