Announcement

Reference is made to Prospectus of Hitachi International (Holland) B.V. ('HIHO') dated 30 September 2008 in relation to eleven (11) series of notes which was approved by the UK Listing Authority (the 'Prospectus').

The Issuer wishes correct the statement contained in the second page of the Prospectus which specified that the Series 220 Notes (as defined in the Prospectus) have been admitted to listing on the Official List of the FSA and to trading on the Regulated Market of the London Stock Exchange plc when they were initially issued by Hitachi Finance (UK) PLC. That statement is incorrect and the Series 220 Notes have been admitted to listing on the Official List of the FSA and to trading on the Regulated Market of the London Stock Exchange plc on 3 October, 2008 with HIHO as issuer (following the substitution of issuer coming into effect).
