RESULT OF EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL MEETING AND OF PREFERENCE SHAREHOLDERS CLASS MEETING

Waterford Wedgwood, confirms that all of the Resolutions proposed for consideration at the Extraordinary General Meeting of the Company ('EGM') and at the Preference Shareholders Class Meeting of the Company ('Class Meeting'), both held in Dublin today, have been approved. These approvals enable the completion of the Open Offer and the implementation of the proposed Placing as previously announced and as detailed in the Company's Prospectus dated 18 September, 2008. 

Resolutions 12 and 13 at the EGM and Resolutions 2 and 3 at the Class Meeting were duly passed on a poll. The poll voting results were as follows;
